    Location

If you have planted your ficus in a vase, you will have to repot it during the first possible spring season. The vase should be big enough to allow its roots to spread in order to let the plant develop in length. The mold should be light and clear from water stagnation. A well drained location is certainly the ideal one for your ficus. Even though it likes heat and sunlight, during very hot summer days, it is better to have it placed in locations where shadows allow warmth to pass through without burning the plant.

    Maintenance

Maintenance Ficus should be fertilized every two weeks, most of all during the hot season, while during winter you can reduce fertilizations to once every two months. Watering should be performed often when the weather is fine and hot, while when it is cold and wet, you can skip some watering without exaggerating. To reproduce the ficus you should do scions, picking the lower leaves and dunking their ends in a specific power which makes roots grow fast and easy in order to be planted.

    Parasites

Ficus can easily be attacked by several parasites. These parasites can also bring diseases which can be very harmful for your plant. Fungi and insects are very dangerous as well. Always prevent before they are attacked by external agents, because it is easier than healing. You can tell the plant has been attacked because it totally changes its characteristics, with leaves turning yellow, dropping pieces and looking weak and vulnerable. The same happens when you let it dry. Just keep the plant in the ideal conditions to have it always healthy and less potentially attackable by parasites.
