It naturally grows in shady areas of the rainforest, where it grows as a climber or trailing plant.
Indoors you can take advantage of the rapid growth of the long flexible branches by fastening them to a long guide covered in moss, or plant it in pots or hanging baskets, from which the branches will gently trail.
The plant needs a bright location, but one not directly exposed to sunlight. Water regularly from March to September, and sporadically during the autumn and winter. Don’t supply too much water, and also don’t leave the plant in dried-out soil for very long periods of time. During the growing period provide fertilizer for green plants every 12-15 days.
