Prickly pear trees is adaptable to any kind of soil and, if planted in a vase, you will only have to repot whenever needed. It needs a lot of sunlight but not the direct sun exposure because it could damage the plant. If temperatures go below zero, it could be possibly bad for the plant because it cannot stand rigid temperatures. When repotting, the soil should be mixed with raw sand in order to drain the excessive water, avoiding stagnation. While performing this operation, if the roots appear rotten or damaged, simply remove them. Once you did repot it, water the plant by submerging it into water.
